Ludwig van Beethoven was born in Bonn in 1770. The initial ideas for the composition of the 2^nd piano concerto began in Bonn. Beethoven himself often performed his own piano concerto in Vienna.

The 5^th Symphonie of Schubert is much in the tradition of Beethovens compositions. Schubert composed the opus at the age of 19 years. Particularly impressive is the youthfull freshness of this symphonie
