In Andernach there is a very special attraction: a cold water geyser that does not erupt because of steam pressure but because of carbonic acid aggregating below a water column causing regular eruptions. This type of geysers is very rare; there are only few other cold water geysers in America and in Slovakia, whilst the one in Andernach is higher than all the others (55-60 m).
